Mechanical Cow for Horse Training

Committed to Save Money, Train Smarter, Win Bigger

Designed by Horsemen, Built for Horseman

Billy Wier, the visionary and owner behind RealCow, blends engineering ingenuity with a lifelong passion for horse training. A Clemson University graduate with a degree in Biosystems Engineering, Billy competed in team roping and calf roping through high school and college. Choosing his passion over a traditional engineering career, he began training rope horses before transitioning to cutting horses in 2001.

Now based in his hometown of Barnwell, SC, with his wife Myra and sons Grant and Harris, Billy continues to train cutting horses, with career highlights including making the limited open finals at the NCHA Futurity and earning 5/6 open reserve champion at the Augusta Futurity.

Frustrated by the rising costs and scarcity of quality cattle on the East Coast, especially slow-moving English-bred cattle, Billy engineered RealCow—a mechanical cow that moves and stops like a “good” live cow, offering the realistic “feel” trainers need. Inspired by years of tweaking and an old remote control car, RealCow was born out of necessity to make training more effective, affordable, and accessible. Proudly manufactured in Fuquay-Varina, NC, RealCow reflects Billy’s commitment to helping trainers save money, train smarter, and win bigger with a machine that is easy eanought for a non-pro/amatuer to operate.
